BASICS
The Novice section is setup for people who have never played before or are just getting started. It will introduce you to the game by teaching you about the board, the movement of the pieces, and other aspects of the game without getting to much into details of tactics and the finer points of the game.

INTERMEDIATE
This is for people who already know the game. It discusses strategies for all pieces. Best and worse ways to use them. For those of you who don't know what notation is I really encourage you to learn it. They are ways of recording your games. It is a major plus in learning about your strong points and weaknesses. I tell everyone to record there moves for study later (Except in speed chess). A good endgame will server you very well. There are times you can stalemate or even win against an opponent if you just know how to play a good endgame. I threw in the quick mates just for fun and because I think everyone should know them and how to defend against them. However I do not recommend using them.

ADVANCED
I don't want to get to complicated with this webpage. Most people I know think that Chess is a really complicated game but, it's not always. However, there should be something here for all levels of play, so I have this section. Not much now but, there is more to come. Checkout the mates. You never know when you will be playing a game and come across a similar position.
